  • Our hand forged Sheppard crook fire tools are made to order here at Allerford Forge, by the team behind West Country Blacksmiths. The fire tools are finished with a traditional beeswax finish, which was sourced locally. The pictured represents the item, the item received may slightly differ as each item is handmade.  
  • Highland Cattle Candle Tray is a beautiful decorative items for any home or a perfect unique gift. The candle decorative front is made at a guide height of 160mm and a width of 260mm at its widest point. Candles or lights are positioned behind the decorative front on a steel plate which is roughly 100mm deep which sits on four rivets. The item are made fully from steel and are finished in Black.

  • Horseshoe coat rack bespoke made by the expert blacksmiths of West Country Blacksmiths The metalwork is made from reclaimed Exmoor horseshoes supplied by a local farrier, which are burned on the forge to clean them, re-shaped and remarked where necessary. This is then enhanced by forging a carefully designed grapevine pattern which includes hooks. Once made, the coat racks are heated on the forge and finished with a traditional beeswax which is locally sourced.
  • Horseshoe welcome signs made using reclaimed horseshoes supplied by a local farrier. The horseshoes are cleaned, remarked, shaped and finished on the coal forge. The signs look great in the right environment and make a unique gift to right person.

The candle decorative front is made at a guide height of 220mm and a width of 300mm at its widest point. Candles or lights are positioned behind the decorative front on a steel plate which is roughly 100mm deep which sits on four rivets. The item are made fully from steel and are finished in Black. The cost of the item includes all vat and postage with royal mail. These items are often available for sending next day or can be collected. This item can be send with another courier with next day guaranteed delivery with a premium charge of £5.

    We are pleased to offer to produce and send a weathervane with the Hunting Scene sail as shown in the drawing on the main image. All weathervanes come with the sail, the frame which includes the N, S, E, W and a bracket for easy self-installation. Unlike other weathervanes you can buy, we produce our metalwork with substantial solid steel. All metalwork has the very best rust protection with a hot-dip galvanised protective coating which is treated and paint finished to the colour 'heritage black'. The bracket is designed to allow the weathervane to protrude from the wall by 250mm. The height of the weathervane from the bracket is set during installation and this design will allow this height to be set up to 600mm. The product pictures show the components used and an example of a completed weathervane.
