Ross was like every other young adult on a night out, the only unusual and extraordinary thing about that night was that he was never to return home; all of his dreams and aspirations were wiped out in an instant.

Get Home Safe may be a small charity, but it has a big message to spread. The charity delivers talks around schools and colleges, highlighting the dangers to young adults making their way home from a night out.

The award itself is a bespoke design and it has been handmade to depict a hand holding a fountain pen and is wrapped in brass and mounted to an carved oak base.
