We are pleased to announce the completion of a newly build workshop at Allerford Forge to double our previous workshop capacity.

Working in partnership with the landlords The National Trust, West Country Blacksmiths are proud to announce the completion of a large scale project to build a new workshop within the grounds of Allerford Forge and undertaken essential refurbishment work to the main forge.

The newly completed workshop is built to the side of an existing building at the forge constructed of a galvanised steel frame build on a new concrete foundation and finished with natural slate and wood cladding.

The works was fully undertaken by West Country Blacksmiths including the design, making and building of the project. The steelframe was made at the forge and on the newly laid foundations by our site team.  With help from some specialist contractors the blockwork, cladding, electric, plumbing and extraction system were all completed by the blacksmiths.

We thank the National Trust for supporting us with this project.
