West Country Blacksmiths’ Billy Hunter has completed a 10,000ft solo accelerated freefall skydive to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.

The solo skydive took Billy to free fall speeds of upto 120 mph and support on the day by family and friends.

Billy who is a welder by trade and works with West Country Blacksmiths based at Allerford Forge completed the charity challenge to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society in memory of his Nan.

His bravery has so far raised £730 plus a further £112.50 from gift aid taking the total raised to £842.50, with further donations still being received.

Billy said ‘It was an amazing experience and the certainly the most frightening thing I have ever experiences, but it was amazing and I am so pleased to have been able to support the charity which has support our family. I would like to thank everyone who has donated’.
