West Country Blacksmiths recently produced and installed a weather vane at Wargrave Cricket Club, which has received alot of public interest and press coverage.

The weather vane was lovingly made by the blacksmiths of West Country Blacksmiths at their blacksmiths forge in Somerset, and installed at the Wargrave recreation ground, the home of Wargrave Cricket Club.

The weather vane is a personalized version of the famous ‘Old Father Time’ weather vane, which is a famous feature of Lords cricket club.

We would like to thank Phil Drew who kindly arrange for use to make the piece and donated it to his club. It was a lovely project to undertake and everyone at Wargrave were extremely kind whilst we work to install the piece and since the installation, we have been inundated with kind word.

The project received overwhelming coverage in many local papers, magazines and even the Cricketers Magazine covered the event. We are proud to share with you the links to the articles in the Henley Standard below as well as a very kindly letter sent to us by the club.

Thank you from

West Country Blacksmiths
