All forms of metalwork restoration and repairs undertaken by West Country Blacksmiths, from historic restorations in both wrought iron and cast iron, through to minor domestic repairs.
The team of tradesmen behind West Country Blacksmiths are pleased to offer a complete metalwork restoration and repair service. They work with all types of metal, including wrought iron, cast iron and brass, and undertake both small local projects and larger-scale restorations throughout the United Kingdom.
The team pride themselves on the quality of their workmanship and enjoy the challenges of restoring existing metalwork, to bring it back to its former glory.
Historic metalwork restorations are extremely difficult and it is important that such projects are carried out with extreme care and attention by experienced metalworkers. With West Country Blacksmiths you can rest assured of the skills of our metalworkers, as they are vastly experienced in all areas of their trade.
West Country Blacksmiths regularly restore a wide range of items for both local and national clients. Recently the team have been fortunate enough to work on some high-profile projects, including the restoration of historic railings at Kensington Palace, Kensington Gardens, London, and an assignment that saw them restore a 16th-century brass walking stick end. Discovered by a mud larker working along the River Thames, this piece is now on display in the V&A Museum, London.
