At West Country Blacksmiths we design and hand-make many different styles of handrails, to suit any project or budget, from a simple safety handrail to a decorative handrail or even a re-creation of an existing metalwork.
Our team of skilled and experienced tradesmen design and make handrails for both the exterior and interior of any property and have the expertise to work in all types of metal, including wrought iron and stainless steel. We are also pleased to provide a full safety check and restoration service for existing metalwork, including handrails.
We offer a complete service on handrails, including site survey, bespoke design and estimation service, and we make all our metalwork in our traditional blacksmith’s forge here in the West Country, and install throughout the UK.

Decorative handrail made for the Northfield Hotel, Minehead. The handrail is designed to be a safety feature for the walkway and enhance the beautiful garden – an acorn sits atop the newel post, as the handrail is positioned near a large oak tree.
