A balustrade or railing is not only a key safety feature but should also complement and enhance the environment and architecture of its surroundings.
The team at West Country Blacksmiths are delighted to offer their considerable experience in metalwork design, production and installation to create a balustrade or railing that is at once individual and personal yet suits the budget and requirements of the project.
A balustrade or railing can be designed and made to be as simple, traditional or artistically elaborate as the project allows. With West Country Blacksmiths, you can be assured that the people who are helping you achieve your dream have the all-round skills and experience that can only be achieved by extensive hands-on working in the industry.
Railings designed and made for the National Trust at Hurlstone Point, a prominent landmark overlooking cliffs on the ever-popular South West Coast Path. The railings were designed to look traditional, yet industrial, and have a galvanised finish to protect the metalwork.
As is the case with all their architectural metalwork projects, the team offer a unique bespoke design service, in which all balustrade and railing proposals are discussed with and designed by the tradesmen who will be creating the metalwork. This system ensures that all considerations can be made and all aspects of the project addressed and advised on from the start.
The team work with all forms of metal, including wrought and cast iron, stainless steel, brass and bronze, and are experienced in both producing new metalwork and undertaking general and historic metalwork restorations.
